Solar Electric Flight Parajet Expeditions

During the summer of 2009 a team of intrepid pilots embarked on an exciting adventure to raise funds for Ataxia medical research and promote alternative energy as a power source of the future.

Starting from Monte-Carlo and covering an estimated 2000km, the Incredible Solar Electric Flight aimed to achieve the world鈥檚 longest solar-powered flight by paramotor, demonstrating the latest combination in solar energy and battery power.

The British-based team led by Damian Cardozo and sponsored by Smart Solar, LottyB, Hurun Report and The Week, flew a new Electric Paramotor - the first commercial solar-powered electric flight system developed in partnership with Parajet - to Ceuta Morocco. Covering an estimated 150km per day, the expedition took roughly two weeks to complete.

Alongside the electric paramotor, pilots also flew several other Parajet paramotors powered by bioethanol, an eco-friendly fuel that comes from renewable resources.
