Following yet another successful Christmas Eve delivering presents to children worldwide, Santa was spotted close to the small village of Somerton, England ditching his reindeer and sleigh in favour of a Parajet Volution paramotor.

“It was just a bit of fun,” explains Dan Wareham, Parajet Brand Manager. “Santa is known for flying around the world every year, so we loved the idea of him flying a paramotor and bringing some magic to the local children on Christmas morning.”

The Santa in question was in fact Andrew Scaramanga, a Parajet employee and a seasoned paramotor pilot with more than 10 years flying experience. Andrew is no stranger to putting on the red suit and white beard for the festive season either, having done so for many years at family parties and more recently at the Parajet staff party. 

“It was incredible to see everyone鈥檚 reactions when they saw Santa overhead,” comments Andrew Scaramanga. “Adults turn into kids again, it turns out people of all ages really do love Santa. The plan was to distribute sweets from the air but incoming bad weather meant I had to abandon that idea. Maybe next year.”
